In 2021, Chris, together with his JV partners, Trevor Cartner and Northumberland Estates, agreed a deal with Amazon to build a 2 million sq. ft logistics, storage and distribution centre on a 60 acre site at Wynyard Business Park, which includes a £4m link road to the A19.
Work has started on the facility which will be complete and operational by late 2022, with the creation of 3,000 jobs.
The presence of Amazon is of regional significance and will undoubtedly attract more companies to the Wynyard location over the coming years.
