Chris has led the development of a state-of-the-art 140,000 sq. ft production and HQ facility for a leading manufacturing company Nifco UK Ltd.
The project required a comprehensive level of management to ensure stringent funding criteria were met following public procurement guidelines, with several complex planning hurdles to overcome. Following the appointment of a skilled design team, Chris worked closely with the client to determine the design specification.
An exhaustive competitive tender process led to the formation of a JCT design and build contract and appointment of the principal contractor. The construction, financial management, and reporting were administered by Chris’s team through to the practical completion and expiry of the liability period.
The facility is now recognised as a showpiece manufacturing facility for the region, which has added to the vibrancy of the North East economy and in the process creating hundreds of new jobs.
