The former Sanofi facility comprised over 350,000 sq. ft of office, laboratory and warehousing space on a 19 acre site.
The company had operated from the site for several decades, but closed in 2015 with the loss of 400 jobs.
Chris purchased the site and facilities within a short time of the closure, with the intention of regenerating the site and creating new employment – after just six months, Accord Healthcare purchased the site which resulted in hundreds of jobs.
The deal struck by Chris in buying and selling the facility was ‘geared’ to jobs, rather than physical regeneration – it was jobs which uplifted the facility.
