In 2007, Chris acquired land at Wynyard Village from a major housing developer for 12 self-build executive homes, which are set in an outstanding location of natural beauty. People bought a house, but they also acquired a new way of life in the process, due to the quality of ‘build’ and ‘location’ – Wynyard Village is a place to ‘live’.
At the direction of Chris, his team created individual houses to the specification of the buyer, which included exterior and interior design, as well as planning permission and project management – the end product was outstanding, allowing the client to enjoy the experience of ‘building’ their own home, without being involved in the day to day process of house building.
The venture was a success and paved the way for self-builds at Wynyard Park, which are now an integral part of the Wynyard Park Housing Plans.
